Position Overview

The Marketing Manager is responsible for leading growth-focused, data-driven marketing efforts that support customer acquisition, retention, and route density for Eastside Exterminators. This role plays a critical part in driving profitable growth while strengthening our trusted local brand.

This position balances strategy with hands-on execution and works closely with Operations, Sales, Finance, HR, and field leadership to ensure marketing efforts align with technician capacity, seasonal demand, and business priorities. The Marketing Manager will also lead and develop a small in-house marketing team.

Key Responsibilities

Growth & Local Market Execution

  • Develop and execute local marketing strategies that support revenue growth and customer lifetime value

  • Align campaign timing and spend with seasonal demand, technician capacity, and service mix (recurring, one-time, specialty services)

  • Drive local market visibility while maintaining brand consistency

Digital & Performance Marketing

  • Manage and optimize key digital marketing channels, including:

    • Local SEO and Google Business Profiles

    • Google Ads and Google Local Services Ads (LSA)

    • Website performance, landing pages, and conversion optimization

    • Email marketing and CRM-based lifecycle campaigns

    • Social media presence and online reputation

  • Ensure marketing efforts focus on lead quality and booked jobs, not just lead volume

Customer Lifecycle & Retention

  • Partner with Operations and Customer Service to support renewals, upsells, and seasonal service campaigns

  • Use performance and customer data to segment audiences and tailor messaging

  • Support recruiting marketing initiatives in partnership with HR, as needed

Analytics, Reporting & ROI

  • Track and report on marketing KPIs such as leads, booked jobs, cost per lead, conversion rates, and ROI

  • Ensure transparency and accountability for marketing spend in partnership with leadership

  • Use data and insights to continuously improve performance and efficiency

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead, coach, and develop a small marketing team

  • Set clear goals, priorities, and performance expectations

  • Promote collaboration and cross-functional partnership

  • Act as a trusted marketing advisor to leadership

Additional Responsibilities

  • Stay current on trends in pest control, home services marketing, and digital platforms

  • Participate in occasional evenings or weekends to support launches or seasonal initiatives

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role directly manages approximately one (1) marketing team member, including responsibilities for hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, coaching, and corrective action in accordance with company policy and Washington State employment laws.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred

  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive marketing experience

  • Experience in pest control, home services, or other route-based service industries strongly preferred

  • Prior people-management experience preferred

  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of local and performance-based marketing

  • Ability to balance growth goals with operational realities

  • Comfort working with data, dashboards, and financial metrics

  • Strong communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to collaborate across departments and influence outcomes

Technology

  • Experience with CRM systems and marketing analytics tools (PestPac or similar field-service CRMs a plus)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Work Environment

  • Primarily office-based with extended computer use

  • Occasional local travel for meetings, vendors, or community engagement

Compliance Notice

This position is classified as exempt under Washington State and federal law and must meet applicable salary thresholds in effect at the time of hire and throughout employment.
Compensation: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
